    This shit will absolutely fuck up a lot of vets in the future, just like any booms and bangs.

  5. I learned to fear that sound in Squad, and then I saw it used brutally and efficiently in the Azer/Armenia conflict and developed a strong desire to never be in that situation.

    Hearing this is a nightmare, and any survivors of these drones will forever be scarred by that noise.

  6. This whole scenario is fucking frightening. The soldiers hear the shrill but can’t see the drone, see the drone but can’t outrun or hide, can’t hide get blown up and disfigured, bleed out a slow painful death.

    These soldiers will have PTSD from the shrill of drones back in the civilian world.

  7. Years ago I got a DJI maverick drone. I always thought that the sound of it was unsettling. I couldn’t imagine it being associated with flying explosives, yet here we are

  8. I dunno, something about this reeks of being fake. The same video, and different bits of audio keep cutting in and out and in different channels. The explosions sound like stock audio sound effects you hear a in a war movie and no way like a blast would sound that close by.

  13. This recording demonstrates the value of keeping original sound and not superimposing music. It’s every bit as horrifying as some of the recent graphic video.

    You’d think it’s a bird migration until you hear their high pitched shrieking.

  22. They sound like a swarm of angry bees. The first time I heard a drone in the open, I almost ran looking to hide from bees…

    Now that I have associated drones with granades, I’d definitely run like crazy.
