  1. “I can confirm to the British public that I have given myself a firm slap on the wrist and am, in fact, a very naughty boy”

  2. Sue Gray has to get whatever report on her investigation cleared by Johnson in the first place before it is published and as a civil servant she be not allowed to embarrass ministers. The idea he will be found guilty in the first place…

Very good interview with on [Woman’s Hour](https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007qlvb) this morning at the start of the show that is well worth the listen:

    >Who is Sue Gray, the civil servant tasked with investigating the Downing Street parties and has she been put in an impossible position? Caroline Slocock former private secretary to Margaret Thatcher and John Major and political journalist Jane Merrick discuss.

  3. Boris: I’ve had a good hard long stare in the mirror and I’ve told myself I’ve been a naughty boy. I’ve decided that I will not do such thing again. I’m sorry and it will not happen again.

  4. Typical of the UK’s Elected Dictatorship that we suffer in.

Any other country and the right wing media would be screaming about corruption and abuse of power… here it’s just crickets and blame labour for everything

  5. “I’ll fine myself 50 quid, which will go into the petty cash box for the next crate of wine and cheese hamper.”

  6. “Well Boris, I humbly tender my, my, my resignation yes” >serious face, serious face<

“Well, Boris, I I I, blaugh, I’m, sorry to hear, this, something something Zeus, but I must refuse”

“Ohh Boris, by the lights of Artemis in the glistening in the woods, I am ugh most surprised” >fumbles notes<

“And and Boris, I want to offer you a pay rise and a wallpaper and eghhhh decorating expensives”

  7. There’ll be a “strongly worded” document.

Or they will look at all angles of the allegations and decide that “no wrongdoing has been found”.

    The horror!

  8. Somehow I read this and I can only see Gove levelling up and has the strength to carry his team on leadership and governmentship. Am I right?
