Republicans dismissed Trump’s Senate trials very quickly without hearing evidence. Would it be worth it for the Dems to consider actually having the long trial in the Senate? Could show the side that they support the Constitution and follows due process. Acquittal at the end is highly likely. Election gift?

Given that it’s been demonstrated that apparently the only crime for which a president can be impeached is having a hostile party with a super majority in the Senate, this isn’t going anywhere anyways. If Trump got acquitted for actually *doing* the corruption and the insurrection, then it’s a waste of time for the GQP to try and impeach Biden for (they’ll get back to us on what it’s for).
