What the eff is happening to this world? When I was a kid it was 2p per miniature, plus there were two refillable columns so I would have Dairy Milk in one and Bourneville in the other. Just looked the latter up online only to see it labelled as ‘vintage’. I may as well just curl up and become xmas tree fertiliser.

  1. These miniatures will be considered regular sized in the next 10 years. £3.20 per bar.

  2. Still a massive loss leader over the actual cost of the tiny bars.

  3. Charging my own children for their snacks sounds like a genius plan.

  4. It’s not saying they cost 10p. It’s save 10p per chocolate. It’s actually genius. My four year old would be a millionaire.

  5. Omg I had one of these! But I ate all the chocs before putting them in there as I didn’t wanna put my money in there lol

  6. I have one that my wife bought be a few Christmasses ago after I told her how my parents would never get me one despite my asking every year. She occasionally buys me refills (might be some under the tree in a couple of weeks) and I have four 10ps that I recycle as the back is easy to take off.

  7. My mum NEVER let me have one of these because sweets and chocolate are unhealthy and mustn’t encourage us, but my cousins were allowed them and their parents are doctors. It was so unfair!

  8. This, a mr frosty, and Stock Car Smash-Up were my 3 forever unfulfilled xmas presents.

  9. Had one of these concerns, of course I also had the key for the money drawer so I just used the same coin

  10. I mean it’s a moneybox, even 10p is quite rare to come by these days how often are you going to have coppers to put in it and what would you do with the pounds worth you’d save?

  11. Its a money box, they arent paying for the chocolate, they’re saving money and getting chocolate as a result. Whens the last time you used a 2p? I don’t even remember the last time i saw a 2p.

  12. vintage?? i had this and i’m barely an adult!! i’m only 18 damnnn

  13. god this bought back memories. i would love to get one now for pure nostalgia

  14. I used to have one. Parents got annoyed when they went to empty the money/refill it, only to find there was no money (as you only had to put it in enough to trigger the chocolate to come out)

  15. Same mate. Got me in to Bourneville as a kid, 2p a go, 2 racks, then they seemingly disappeared in the 90’s.
