> Ms Quinn Idris said she is disappointed with the sentence and that that while she was glad Cummins got a custodial sentence it seemed to her the justice system is more in favour of the accuser than the victim.
>She said she will remember the attack every day for the rest of her life because the injuries were on her face and not something she can hide.
Those scumbags have effectively ruined her life and that’s all they get
“Cummins also has mental health issues and comes from an unstable family. He left school aged 13, worked for a time in a tyre factory and has no previous convictions.
Judge Codd sentenced him to five years in prison with the final two years suspended.”
Sorry but I don’t accept that at all. Doesn’t go a day where you’re in shock as to how fucking bad the judicial system is here
Probably out in a year. I suppose at this stage we should be happy it wasn’t a suspended sentence.
>Ms Quinn Idris also said she would appeal to people with information about Suspect B to come forward.
>The court heard he is the person who hit her in the face with the saddle of an E-scooter and has not been identified.
What utter feckin nonsense. You don’t want to snitch on your mates, that’s okay, but thst should mean absolutely zero leeway by the judges, maximum sentencing, and zero a suspended sentences and zero chance of parole
Maybe it’s fine we start protesting for complete judicial reform. Our lives literally depend on it.
Wait they still haven’t identified suspect B who hit her in the face. Well how about not suspending the last two years of his sentence till he co-operates and names him.
It’s always so ludicrous when these Judges powerfully condemn these kinds of acts “this is one of the most despicable cases I’ve ever seen. The victims will be haunted by if forever. The accused is a menace to society….here’s 3 years, 2 suspended”.
As usual this is no deterrent to scrotes to do gang beatings and they couldn’t even pry the ID out of the other assailants (yes I think they should have been waterboarded).
Hats off to the intervening driver, could have been worse
Ridiculous sentence for a life long injury.
Such a beautiful girl, and still beautiful inside and out.
Scumbaggery aside, can anyone tell me the difference between sentencing this little runt and Kyle Hayes, since Hayes gets to walk with a fine most likely?
