3. The gaza strip is pretty small patch of land, why would they air drop when their own border is practically around the corner?

9. I just realized that what Israel really needs are AC-130J Gunships. Sure, you have to watch out for anti-air SAM’S from Hezbollah in the West Bank (edit correction Hezbollah is in Lebanon, not the West Bank) …. but this kind of war is what the AC-130 was made for. Just loitering over the battlefield with a wide array of precision weapons.

   It just clicked in my head how perfect that weapons system is for this war.
