WASHINGTON — For more than 2½ years, it was rare for President Biden to publicly utter the name of the person he replaced. Donald Trump usually was “the former president,” “my predecessor,” or simply “the other guy.”

But in the past month, Biden has “Trump” on the brain and the tip of his tongue. Over the course of three events during a fund-raising swing in the Boston area last week, Biden fired that name into the crowd a total of 34 times as he blasted Trump for his record in office, his attempt to overturn the 2020 election, and his plans if he returns to the White House.
“It’s not hyperbole to suggest you’re the reason why Donald Trump is not only a former president but a defeated former president,” [he told supporters ](https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/speeches-remarks/2023/12/06/remarks-by-president-biden-at-a-campaign-reception-boston-ma/)at the Shubert Theater before a concert by James Taylor. “Which makes him, yes, a loser.”
With amped up rhetoric and an almost singular focus, Biden and his campaign have been going after Trump far more aggressively the past several weeks before any Republican primary votes even have been cast. The president’s abandonment of his disdain for citing Trump by name is emblematic of a shift to a general election strategy and comes after some disconcerting polls numbers for Biden, a burst of controversial statements by Trump, and alarming reports about the former president’s plans if he wins another term.
“Trump is going to be the nominee, so start now on reminding people of the contrast,” said Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren.
Polite is not going to win against a bully, call this fucker out every time.
We’ll see how it turns out but honestly, it makes sense to wait.
Everybody’s tired of hearing about trump. May as well wait until it’s go time, and then hit the gas rather than full steam ahead 4-2/12 years before the race really kicks off. Some way of countering trump fatigue. Of course it’s just one person/campaign so just because Biden hasn’t been talking trump doesn’t mean anyone else has/hasnt, but I see the angle it’s coming from. Revving down also resets the baseline on how we shouldn’t have daily updates about the insane shit people in government are doing- and then when trump enters the picture more for the race, it’s more of a reminder what it was like with him as president.
Starting to see…?
Why hasn’t this been the case all along?
>After Trump said late last month he was “seriously looking at alternatives” to the Affordable Care Act…
You had *FOUR YEARS* to reveal this amazingly powerfully powerful “Trumpcare” plan. Spare us the usual “two weeks” bullshit.
As we all should.
Frankly speaking, time is money and Trump’s unceasing bullshit is wasting a lot of resources. Seems like a lot of people are finally getting tired of dealing with his temper tantrums.

This was too good not to post. How can his supporters continue to not see this clown as incompetent? Some of the big money is moving away but there is still a lot of money only interested in making sure there is a Republican in charge so that no-one comes after their gazillions.
It’s important to remember that voting rights in America were severely restricted for most of our history. After the Civil War voting rights began opening up, especially to the former slaves.
These rights were rolled back. When it happened people were in shock and disbelief. By the time it was clear what was happening it was too late.
It wasnt until the Voting Rights Act of 1964 did things start to turn around. It would take decades to get to where we are now. Things can easily go backwards. It’s precedented.
When you let a lie fester, it becomes the truth to some people because they heard it first.
Neither of these guy are fit to serve. Don’t deserve your vote e,
