  1. >The IPPR found that nine in every 10 people in the top third of the income distribution voted in the two most recent general elections, compared with only seven in 10 from the bottom third.

Given that less than 7 in 10 people have voted in every election this century this doesn’t make sense, unless the middle third are really staying away.

  2. Neither party will fix the root causes of the issues in this country, so who fucking cares. It’ll be more of the same shit, just slower

  3. Predicted this when Starmer’s main electoral tactic became chasing swing voters and dissenting Tory voters. The inevitable consequence of the opposition party emulating the government party is that people will stop caring enough to vote for either.

  4. You’re getting another tory government whether you like it or not.

    Eat your gruel, serfs.

(You can blame gen Z for it, thanks for moaning and not voting.)

  5. Holy balls the new tories have achieved what even thatcher couldn’t snatch from the kids

  6. The fact that Parliament will be full of private school clique and career politicians no matter which party gets in is absolutely bleak.

  7. divisive articles again – people don’t want to vote cause they can’t see the point in it – there should a rule that everyone votes but there should be an option of none of the above

  8. Cant wait for the Tories to be destroyed at the next election.

  9. If Labour don’t fix this 38k spousal visa thing, they can fuck off too

Although I won’t be able to ever move back to the UK until it’s abolished (or revised) anyway..

  10. How to win an election:
Literally just make a party called the competence party.

Politically central, no extreme views either way.

Candidates selected based on actually being competent at their job. No corruption or rich cock sucking. Just wanting a better country.

Cabinet full of people who actually have a background in the role they play (i.e. actual doctor as health secretary).

Would fucking mop up the votes.

  11. Sad UK noises 🙁 your Tories are too posh and out of touch, should remedy this in the future. It’s got to be concerning for you guys going in an opposite direction from the rest of Europe **again**, last time was Brexit, this time everyone is trending right while you’re going to elect a labor majority

  12. The vast majority of people are extremely disillusioned with the state of politics in this country. The past decade has just been scandal after Scandal, after farce, after bad decision.

Sir Kier LARPing as an arch-Tory isn’t going to help boost the turnout for lower-income voters either.

  13. Yeah it’s too late mate. Damage is done, we left the EU and have had our country fisted by greedy cunts. Nobody can salvage it within four years, they will need at least three terms.

  14. We should stop using fptp then votes for other parties actually matter more

  15. The rich dont care, kier and wes are their men as well. NHS is fucked under kier and wes and they will carry on the majority of what tories are doing.
