I recall that intercepted phone call a few days ago of the Russian soldier who said he was on Telegram watching all of these videos of his comrades getting killed and/or freezing and starving (and he was using slurs when mentioning Ukrainians soldiers so he was clearly a willing participant). He was asking what they are even doing? What is the goal they are trying to accomplish? and basically he just didn’t want to end up the same way, but I think his commanders were already saying they were heading to the front soon. Hell, that might even be him in this very video.
