  1. >Enemy advancing along entire front line

It is not an “Difficult situation” it is a catastrophe.

  2. From the (very short) article:

“The Ukrainian military is ensuring the stability of the defense, reports Oleksandr Syrskii, Commander of the Eastern Military Group.”

“The combat situation in the east remains difficult. The enemy does not stop conducting offensive actions along the entire frontline,” noted Syrskii.

=> Difficult, always have been, and I very often heard Zelensky saying it’s difficult.

  3. If they are really advancing along entire front line its not a difficult situation but a catastrophe

  4. Perks of gaining battlefield initiative is that you can choose where and when to attack, which is exactly what Russia is doing.

This is just another phase in the war, but the underlying issues with insufficient western supplies is a serious one that hasn’t hit home yet

  5. This is why Putin worked so hard to put Republicans back in charge of the Congress last year. His plan to put enemy traitors who will cut off military aid because they want Ukraine to lose back in power is paying off.

  6. is ukraine still looking for breaks in the frontline ? seems like the east is all about defense and they are attempting a break across the dnipro into the south.

  7. this is what happens when the soldiers start to say in public that they are running out of ammo. purposely giving the enemy some valued information they shouldn’t have.

  8. Attempting to advance and getting shot to pieces is not advancing.

  9. The article makes it sound like Syrskii ordered withdrawal to more defensible
positions in Avdiivka, etc, due to the need to ration ammunition and munitions.

This reflects the increase in Russian drone tech (China) and shells (North Korea) and lack of supply increases from the west.

I think back to the EU negotiations over ordering more shells, and France demanding they be made in the EU, which delayed things by months.

But the lack of prompt training on aviation from the Americans in 2022 really hurts Ukraine now.

The best thing the Ukrainians can do is hang on in defensive positions until the air frames can break the Russian lines. But if the Russians press for more, Ukraine might lose more territory, as happened in Spring and Summer 2022.

Call your political reps today to put pressure on. Just as important, call the Republican organizations to tell them this will affect how you vote in 2024, and who you donate to.
