It’s absolutely insane that knowing what we know in 2023, with the entire world committed to eliminating fossil fuels, taxpayers are still heavily subsidizing the fossil fuel industry. This is true globally, not just in the US. It’s a testament to the political clout of the wealthiest industry on the planet. Also to the corruption of world governments by money.
