Boris Johnson attended ‘bring your own booze’ event in No 10 garden during first coronavirus lockdown

  1. I hate boris, it embarrasses me that he is a PM. however, after trying, and fucking up things, they deserve a drink. They where in close contact by working there. This isn’t someone throwing a shindig, it’s people drinking after work when it’s been hard and fucking stressed. Bad optics for sure, but I wouldn’t criticise a surgeon and the team drinking when shift was over (well they wouldn’t get next day off) with people they where in close contact to with work.

  2. The worst part is that he promised to bring a world beating wine and he showed up with tap water…

  3. There’s one thing I refuse to believe here. Not a chance was none of that booze not expensed. That would probs be the least scandalous think about it though. 😂

  4. Such a shame that this happened in the past, there simply isn’t _a single thing_ that can be done about it.

Now keep up your production, worker units, trust us, and believe in the Glory of Brexit! We got it done. STRONG BRITAIN! GREAT NATION! RULE BRITANNIA and GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

  5. Were he confirmed to be there under the formal enquiry, that will be hard proof of his having lied to Parliament. That’s the part which might be fatal – even though we’d all known he’s been lying all the way through.

  6. The next headlines “Which Downing street gatherings are NOT being investigated” just to save space.

  7. This is them throwing him under the bus to line up the new figurehead and act like it was a boris problem not a tory one.

The focus should be on every attendee not just Johnson

  8. Alternate Headline:

Tories partied whilst your nan died.

Let’s be real; scapegoating BoJo is a tactic to put all the blame on him so they can replace him with the next soulless bastard waiting in line.

Blame the whole, not the part. Fuck the Tories.

  9. This happened under a month after my infant twin nephews died in hospital as a result of staff shortage causing negligence, days before their funeral which was the most unceremonious way to send off a couple of babies, days after my 30th birthday which was a lonely and depressing affair and while we were living in a tiny, cramped flat with what felt like no respite.

While we certainly didn’t have it as bad as a lot of people, the massive difference in attitudes is a little enraging.

  10. This is the lefts last desperate attempt to try and get Boris.

The polls are swiftly rebounding and now they are trying to find something new.

A focus group done the Times said voters don’t care about the story. People can see this for what it is.

  11. An overweight old guy in power not worried about a virus in its first year of the pandemic. Seems to me he knows something we don’t or he isn’t worried about it at all…

  12. What made them unafraid of covid to gather like that?

I didn’t meet up with a friend until around April 2021, wore masks (and still do), washed hands even after opening post etc. I didn’t want to risk catching it for my own health and also my family’s, so why the fuck were this lot so unafraid?
