German soldiers march in front of the Reichstag building to honor those who served in Afghanistan. 20 years Bundeswehr in the Hindu Kush. 20 years that have shaped Germany (and Europe)

  1. “I see germany and military so i must comment nazi reference xDDDD” – every single internet user outside of germany for some reason

  2. Interesting. I always thought the beret goes with the special outfit. Seems to be an entirely different attire for this event then.

  3. Germany: pushing away everything about itself out of WWII guilt

People: lol so weak, get a spine it was 70 years ago who cares

Germany: embraces traditions older than the Nazis ever where

People: wow so nazi how dare you

You just can’t get it right with the internet

  4. Guys did you hear nazis used to drive on roads and produced cars? I think we should stop driving cars.

  5. I’m appalled at the comments. This has nothing to do with the Nazis. They’re honouring amongst others lost lives. Show some respect or go be a childish prick somewhere else

  6. >20 years Bundeswehr in the Hindu Kush. 20 years that have shaped Germany (and Europe)

    Its shaped Afghanistan more.

  7. I cannot believe these comments. There is a whole generation of the German soldiers who made sacrfices helping NATO and the US in Afghanistan. They pat themsleves on the back for just a moment and all anyone can think of is WW2. Shame on you guys.

  8. People mistaking Zapfenstreich honouring the fallen for the 3rd Reich. The comments in this thread are disgusting.

  9. As a German those uniforms feel somewhat old-fashioned. So I was wise enough to bring some snacks before diving into the comments section. Have a nice sunday, everyone!

  10. Some of these comments are disgusting, laughing and making jokes while these guys were honoring their fallen soldiers. 20 years, soldiers died for nothing, soldiers coming back home with ptsd, 20 years of suffering for absolutely nothing and some people are cracking jokes…
