  1. > Onut was also disqualified from driving for a total of 14 years and five months.

That’s a good long time provided it’s not reduced but… christ… in cases like this it should be permanent, or at least he should never hold an HGV license or anything permitting him to drive for work again?

  2. Obviously this is an extreme case and of course the driver is at fault.

I do wonder how much of the blame for a lot of problems associated with negligence etc is on companies making ever more addictive user experiences.

Experiences so addictive that people ignore their loved ones, their jobs and even life dependent tasks like driving.

  3. Not surprising. I see it all the time from my cab.

The worst was seeing a car driver with a tablet on his steering wheel playing roulette on some gambling app. On the motorway, during rush hour, while dark and pissing it down.

People are driving really weird at the moment. Very aggressive and taking some massive risks. I’ve lost count the amount of drivers that cut within a metre of me just to take the exit of the motorway . . . . when it was clear behind me.

A few of them leaving it so late they almost hit the barriers. For no reason.

  4. 8 years and 10 months for 3 lives and injuring numerous other people. Should’ve been 20 year minimum.
