I’m telling you, it’s all part of the government’s love bombing campaign for Northern Ireland to have a border poll and vote in favour of a United Ireland. I’m not sure it will work, but which government has done the most, or anything, to help the Northern Ireland economy since Brexit? That’s right, Irish government. The British government is threatening to make things much worse with no guarantee things will get better. But a thriving alcohol sales sector probably won’t be enough to convince some voters.
Mead is actually very easy to make, its basically just water, honey, and yeast (though you’ll want yeast nutrients to help it ferment better). You do need a few containers, but you could make a quite a bit for less than €100. It ferments in a few weeks as well and is tasty.
Irelands next major crime wave will be smuggling booze from NI.
Oh! I bet they sell some real cheap bathtubs up north.
Anybody got a recipe for poitín???
