Closed for the vinter, if you go on vegvesen.no/trafikk you can check road statuses.
Thats polarbear street
Have a fun time btw, went to a cabin in the mountains above Sauda a few summers ago and is hands down, my most favourite trip I’ve taken
Winter closed
I miss the old days when people took the wrong road 🤣 our generation always have the answer to everything well before and is never lost 🥲
This road is mostly opened before easter, meaning easter wacation can not be guaranteed, but one know the week before…..
Trollstigen can last till end of June, but usually open end of May, also check the week before as they will be working on it
That road is very nice right after it opens after the winter. Then you drive between high ridges with lots of snow
Because that road is closed during the winter
If you put on traffic view and zoom in on the 520 Google maps will tell you
That is an awesome road, and the local industry in Sauda has made a great job of making sure it is legal for heavy duty vehicles. I have driven that road many times in a full size semi trailer after loading in the days area and heading east. So much fun!
Welcome to Norway, always the long route. But alot of nice scenery on the way at least 🙂
Btw 175.no redirects to vegvesen.no/trafikk, and 175 is the number you should call for anything to do with Mountain passes at least
