Global warming acceleration is becoming so obvious now that mainstream scientists, policy makers, governments and even the IPCC and UNFCCC organizers of COP28 will soon have no choice but to eat their words.
At the COP28 in Dubai, UAE, which just ended a few days ago, people still hold on to the fairytale that 1.5C is still a workable threshold.
Nope.
In a few months, the 12 month sliding average will exceed 1.5C, we will probably hit months above 2C in a few months, and when El Niño fades we are unlikely to ever go back to even 1.5C (we may, for a month or two; hard to say).
Global warming is accelerating like a bat out of hell.
