(hope this isn’t a wrong place to ask)

So, I’m a Polish student applying to a few Finnish universities this year. Poland is one of the countries offering the “authentication methods for foreigners” on the studyinfo website, so I (successfully) logged in on the website.

However, after submitting an application I only got a confirmation email with an option to edit it from the mail’s link, and there doesn’t seem to be any connection between my application and my studyinfo account.

On the website it says there are no applications with my personal identity code and, well, obviously I don’t have a Finnish identity code but since they offer the “authentication methods for foreigners” that shouldn’t be the requirement I think?

Is this normal, and if not does anyone know how to change that?

I know theoretically they say that you can apply to unis without ever making an account, but if I have to option to do so, then why not utilize it? I kinda feel like doing it through the account would feel more ‘secure’ and I’d be less stressed about something going wrong in the process lol
