  1. TL;DR:

    * Three major Chinese EV companies are planning new factories in Mexico, per the Financial Times.
    * Tesla rival BYD and fellow giants MG and Chery are in talks over new sites, alarming US officials.
    * The move will likely fuel fears that Chinese firms may use Mexico as a backdoor into the US EV market.

  2. Don’t whine, pretend you believe in capitalism and compete. Solve the climate problem.

  3. This is all a nothing burger , the US government will carefully change policy on these EVs to make sure either the government gets it’s money (from China) before they can even get into the US market , they’ll likely need to partner with a US Uto company (China does the same thing in their market ) OR institute quotas to limit them (like for every 5 Tesla’s in China 1 BYD in the US ) to protect US manufacturers… It’s funny how capitalism morphs to suit the needs of America , I love how everyone spouts off about the free market when it’s anything but free
