Are we going to address this catastrophic issue? I haven’t heard much from major political power in this regard.

  1. on the other hand, it has been getting better since 2019…

  2. Less population density better. I want to Europe be like Canada with lots of nature and wildness. Not like now. Commieblocks and cars everywhere

  3. We, as a species, simply don’t know how to fix the declining birth rates. Pretty much everything, from generous financial incentives to lengthy maternal leave has been tried, and absolutely nothing works. Not a single country has been able to make them budge.

  4. People can barely pay rent and going to the grocery store is a minimum 50€ loss and you bring nothing home. Add a baby on top of that and you’re homeless.

  5. People be like “Lithuanian population is going down!”. Also them “nah. I’m good on my own, without kids”.

To get your population increasing, every couple should reproduce at the rate higher than 2. At the moment, avg. reproduction rate is 1.7.

Infertility isn’t a huge problem in Lithuania compared to the Western Europe. Parental leave conditions are relatively better than EU average.
