Finally some numbers regarding the ammunition production increase. Double capacity to 200 000 rounds of 155mm ammunition annually by 2028. Cost 130 million. This equals around 1 month consumption in Ukraine.
Let’s go!!!!
Good development but still too little, too slow. Should be 5x in 2 years. I really hope we still have a few million shells in stockpile..
The biggest fucking travesty about European involvement in this war is how we’re failing at a completely mundane, perfectly straightforward thing that we’re supposed to be good at when it’s the most crucial thing in deciding the fate of our security system and the legitimacy of our stated values. Let me explain what I mean:
Ukrainians achieved incredible feats and paid a hefty price in blood to make it so that Russians are bogged down on the front lines, begging to be shot at. And shooting at them is the obvious pressure point to push back against all the incredibly difficult challenges that Russia poses. Putin is coming at us like a hydra, spewing acid of hybrid warfare from each of its mouths and we have Ukraine right there ready and willing to kneecap the hydra and keep us from even having to wrestle with its many necks if only we give Ukrainians something to swing.
We can solve an absolute headache of a geostrategic problem by just opening production lines, something that is perfectly within our capabilities. That’s like finding yourself in a situation where all you have to do to turn your failing marriage into a happy one is to keep the toilet clean and barely cleaning the toilet. Absolutely fucking preposterous and inexcusable.
So yeah, good on Finland, shame on everyone not doing the same.

Sounds reasonable.
