  1. Am I missing something?
Did people stop going out for Christmas drinks?

Or did they just not want you coming with them?

In that picture, it definitely looks like you’re in the wrong bar.

  2. I’m always looking for the happy medium between those.

  3. Ya this hits hard. 33 and had to move home to the countryside with my mam due to the reasons. None of my friends live here or near here anymore, they’re in the cities or out foreign. I’m lonely af and have already cried this week over the sheer fear of the loniness.

  4. I meet 2 mates regularly for pints, there are 3 others who join us from time to time, and we organised a night out for last week.

The three usuals turned, one of the other lads did.

  5. so true, it’s near impossible to round up a few mates over Xmas. i just sauce and hang around with the wife and extended family. maybe sad but i’m getting older

  6. I am fortunate that I have a strong circle of mates but really only get to see them at this time of the year.

So the picture is reverse for me, Christmas is always busy, the other 340 days of the year are lonely.

  7. It’s a hard time to organise stuff. So much things going on. If you have kids with all their shit, work dos, hangovers, having to travel, sometimes it’s not worth it.

  8. I’d nearly rather the second one. Theres a concerning number of gingers in the first

  9. I also expect every lad to have a full beard and every woman to be a redhead
