  1. MAGAs: no, he had the BEST, because he had to clean up Obama’s mess, and he had to deal with covid and he was incredible because he told me gas was cheaper under him

  2. Does this account for Covid?

It’s stupid to act like the general populace is stupid enough to ignore Covid.

All this does is turn off people to any real info for comparison

  3. The president has a fairly minor influence on the economy. Trump’s “poor economic record” is because the whole damned country shut down during the pandemic, just as his “great economic record” before the pandemic was mostly due to an ongoing recovery that was well underway during the administration of his predecessor. Biden’s “great economic record” is mostly due to the same reason, recovery from a disaster period in 2020.

The same sicknesses in the economy around things like inequality and rising cost of housing and healthcare and education haven’t changed in decades.

  4. But for his first three years he took an economy growing at 2.9% and got it growing at…2.9%

  5. Inspired by the lousiana purchase I can see him selling America to Russia.

  6. Yeah but ivankie and donald got a bunch of chinese patents out of his presidency. Oh and jared the mute got 2 billion from saudi. But lets talk about hunter.

  7. This needs to be posted every day. I can’t believe how little press and credit Biden is getting. Compared to Tramp it is obvious what this country needs. It is NOT tax cuts for the rich.

  8. And people continue to support and vote for the guy. What has happened to America? Of course we know you can’t fix stupid.

  9. And we are still paying for it, unless you’re a millionaire.

  10. One major item that Trump’s economic policy addressed was the amortization of capital expenditures could be used at the discretion of the company. This meant that if a company, for example, built a factory spending $100 million… They are able to recoup the amortization which reduces the tax and encourages investment and hiring workers. It is also probably the reason why people’s bowels are in an uproar over corporations not owing taxes. That said, we believe the best course would be a little more balanced policy which also offers incentives to the worker as well. #thepoliticallyhomeless

  11. I agree 100% but the source cant be democrats.org if you want any traction

  12. But but I thought things were so much better under Trump…eggs, gas, rent, ……you mean it was because Obama left him with a strong economy? No wonder all he talks about is immigration and how he’s being persecuted.

  13. So r/politics is just posting DNC press releases now? Got it lol

  14. Yep, let’s pretend a once in a century Pandemic that shut down the entire world wasn’t to blame.

  15. And yet he’s polling well over the economy. We’re so broken.

  16. When you lose a casino to bankruptcy, that’s a red flag.
    You missed that.

  17. A bunch of points that aren’t housing or food costs, which I cannot stress enough IS THE ONLY THINGS VOTERS CARE ABOUT.

  18. If Democrats campaign on the economy they will lose this election hands down. Inflation is still real, people are still struggling with grocery bills. Real problems for blue collar voters. If they want to women focus on reproductive rights and infrastructure jobs.

  19. He’s convinced his followers that facts don’t matter.

  20. But Biden is slightly older than him!

  21. Makes sense shit business man in charge of a country’s economy, will most likely result in a shit economy.

  22. You mean to tell me the guy who bankrupted multiple casinos didn’t have a great economic track record?!?

    I’m shocked!!!

  23. He also presided over a global pandemic. So that helped

  24. Even if you don’t like him, it’s ignorant to blame the pandemic economy on a president

  25. We have to be honest about the unavoidable role that COVID played in the economy, and the inevitable recovery after things were normalized after COVID. Trump handled COVID poorly, but every country lost a bunch of jobs and then recovered.

  26. I’m sure Democrats.org is a reliable, unbiased source!

  27. I understand we all accept that “r/politics” is heavily liberal and democrat oriented… but position articles directly from “democrats.org” isn’t a great look.

  28. Look I hate Trump and his mindless horde of followers but democrats.org doesn’t sound very neutral.
