I mean as far as I’m concerned they’re there legally with permission of the Malian government and fighting an awful foe so go for it. Furthermore it means more Russian resources committed there which will mean higher costs etc. If Russian boys are going to fight a seemingly endless unwinnable war against awful people instead of French boys and will undoubtedly draw ire for it over the next few years so much the better for me.

Who’d Wagner terrorists behead this time?
There is allot more going on here. The fear is that the new Governement wishes to make an accomodation with the extremist. Worse still is a Growing feeling amongst the Malian people that the only way to end this fighting will be a dialogue with the extremist.
France believes accomodation with the islamist can only end with an islamist Malian Governement and a massive destabilisation of a part of the world with about 500.000.000 people who will all look for a safe haven in Europe.
This is a result the Russian will certainly promote and so yes look on this Intervention with much fear.
