  1. Once juvenile offenders turn 18, can they be named? Or do they get anonymity and new lives when released?

  2. Not even remorseful of the fact he murdered an innocent woman.

Throw away the key and leave him rot.

  3. Dangerous person, shouldn’t be amongst normal society.

  4. Can we add an extra zero to that 13-year review?

  5. You know. It’d be far better for society if this chap was just dropped off a boat around halfway to Holyhead.

  6. No place on society for a lad like that even after 13 years. Throw away the key.

  7. I get the grandmother wants him to have a chance at a life but he’s too far gone and too dangerous.

Life sentence and never released. Only option.

  8. At least there’s a judge who has a set of balls on them. Most of these useless judges give slaps on the wrist for outrageous offences

  9. I think of this poor lady a lot. I remember my GF used to cycle across that way coming to visit me from Donnybrook when I was living in Drumcondra. I had to tell her to stop afterwards as it was just too dangerous with the vermin about.

It deeply affected me at the time and still does. And I feel like things have worsened since.

There is no hope for this young fella and by the sounds of it the streets are much safer.

  10. She would be alive now if the courts had of done something about the 31 previous convictions.
This is why animals like him act the way they do

  11. When that 13-year review happens, I hope they take note of the tantrum he threw in court.

  12. I don’t know why, but I always feel worse when it’s a non-Irish person murdered by an Irish person. I just think about this woman came to Ireland with a dream of a life, and was met with disgusting despicable scum like her 14 year old killer. I feel shame over it when I think of her family.

Same feelings with Jastine Valdez etc.

  13. Cunt’s pals were harassing the woman’s family outside the court after the trail. Absolute filth.

  14. Yippee an actual criminal being put away for once I’m glad they gave him life – scumbag

  15. This bullshit drives me around the twist;

    >They further argued that the judge failed to adequately reflect mitigating circumstances, including that his intention was to cause serious harm but not to kill Ms Tserendorj.

The law specifically states that it is murder where the accused intends to cause death or “serious injury” to someone who subsequently dies. It is stated like this explicitly so that, “I only meant to really hurt them, not kill them”, cannot be used as a defence against a murder charge.

The defence absolutely fucking knows this. But they put it in anyway. In fact, if this is his contention, “I intended to seriously harm her”, then he’s admitting that the murder verdict is the correct one.

I get that everyone is entitled to a defence, and I support it and understand it. But this crap where solicitors and barristers try to make arguments that run entirely contrary to the law, makes a mockery of the whole system.

  16. I bet they gave it the sob story of how remorseful he is and that he’s looking to turn his life around in Prison.

If he didn’t get caught he would be out bragging about it. He is a serious threat to society.

  17. Is he allowed to be identified if he’s released as an adult? Guys like him will never learn and deserve mob justice

  18. Free legal aid should be limited. After X amount of convictions you’re on your own.

  19. “The teenager’s lawyers also argued that other children convicted of murder had received lower sentences despite having greater moral culpability.”

    GTFO

  20. > his intention was to cause serious harm but not to kill Ms Tserendorj.

    Didn’t he cut her throat?

  21. One of the reasons I can’t take those fucking idiots out protesting in the north inner city and east wall, the concerned mothers and patriots looking out for women and children, is that there wasn’t a fucking peep out of them when their own little scumbags killed this lady and ran over Thiago Cortes quite close to where she was killed too. Nada. Just shows them up for the xenophobic morons they are.

  22. obviously i’m not making excuses for this guy and realistically he should never get out, but it’s pretty damning that he had a full on mental breakdown at 12 and nothing seemed to have been done about it. TUSLA and CAMHS failed this child and a woman is dead because of it.

  23. I said it before but when that case came up of that Brazilian Deliveroo guy who killed a scrote in self defense this is the case I thought of.

There’s this argument that sure “they’re just kids” or “reasonable force” but that’s just it, anyone who steps to you regardless of their age or build can kill you, you don’t have any idea what an attacker is capable of and you should be allowed to do whatever you need to to defend yourself

  24. Always some enlightened one telling us how it’s everybody else’s fault. Look back through history, lots of people are cunts

  25. It’s amazing how the many accounts that recently unleashed a spate of anti-immigrant posts on this sub are completely quiet on this one.

  26. Are the feely left still all about rehabilitation?

He should rot in a dungeonbas should his inbred relations

  27. I remember the coverage of the initial sentence played him up to be very remorseful. Delighted to see it was all a play and it’s failed. Off with him.

  28. A reduced sentence would do him no good. He has a better chance of returning to society as a rehabilitated young man. He’ll develop a better perspective over the years.

And to the poor victim – a mother and wife – may you rest in peace.

  29. Where were the riots, protests and “concerned” locals over this murder?

  30. Is the only way to actually stop these cycles to start taking kids off people? Seems like this can’t really be fixed any other way?

  31. It’s actually crazy to read about the encounters before and after this incident too. He was generally just going around terrorizing the public with a knife.

This line just shows how cold this whole thing was too.
    >When she said she did not have any money, he stabbed her, and then cycled away and later attempted to rob another woman.

His reaction perfectly sums up the mask these people put on on the advice of their lawyers too. You hear about their tough upbringing and how it was an accident. In reality he wanted to inflict pain or scar someone for life for not doing what he wanted. You could see his attitude just doing this day in question, he steals from a shopkeeper takes out a knife and says ‘what are you going to do about it?’ before there was even a confrontation. He likes the power and people being afraid of him.

I remember reading his backstory before and you’d feel sorry for the grandmother who was probably doing her best but couldn’t stop him from going down this road. At some point, if a person can’t change course, they need to be taken out of society and locked up. If he was given a ‘second chance’ (he already had 30 convictions). He would be out terrorising someone else and nothing would have been learned.
