  1. Caustic soda or sodium hydroxide is the shiny coating on pretzels that you eat.

  2. Why did the barman give his customer caustic soda?

    Tequila.

    (Sorry)

  3. Anyone who tells you you should drink that stuff is feeding you a lye. It might be *called* soda, but that’s as far as the similarities go

  4. Why did the bartender serve caustic soda to the abusive karen who called him names?

    Tequila Mockingbird

  5. If only some yuppies had moved next door to complain about the loud noises this place might have got shut down, thank god they only melted a few faces so its a fine.

  6. Why were they not shut down? And I really hope the worker in question was sacked. Or maybe immediately left and never came back after realising his mistake.

  7. My close friend was there that night, she was involved with the investigation but there has been radio silence since the initial interviews. She was hospitalised along with another one of my friends on a birthday night out and has received no compensation

  8. I’m sure I remember this happening at the same bloody venue before now?

  9. Lots of jokes here but ingesting caustic soda can kill you. Have seen it happen; they die it bright colours in some places so kids end up drinking it.

  10. > The bartender prepared the drinks and while doing so, realised there was no salt to accompany the tequila shots.

    >He went to an unlit area behind the bar and used a disposable plastic cup to scoop what he believed was salt from a large white container that was on a shelf

    > Police officers who attended the scene found a white container with a caustic soda label on it

The moral of the story, don’t go into dark rooms, pick up the first thing you see without checking what it is, then start serving it to customers…

  11. All jokes aside, this sounds horrendous. I hope no long term harm was caused.

  12. I work with caustic soda every day, that stuffs so nasty when we turn it from powder to solution the fumes burn my eyes 😂

  13. It’s not called Caustic SODA in the UK for that very reason, over here it’s called BLEACH an obvious name and what was it doing behind a Drink serving area?…that stuff is usually kept with the cleaning products…

  14. This seems like perhaps not the best idea but that’s none of my business.
