People like Johnson are just annoyed that COVID made people realise there are more important things in life than work, especially when work does not pay for many people and many companies are happy to exploit their employees’ wellbeing for personal gain. People did not become workshy, they simply realised the current system is a scam and that there is little benefit to working harder for many.
I was going to say this was problem before the pandemic and worst now currently that’s some like 4.2 percent 1.42 million above working age that’s not to mention the amount that say for other reasons I have seen benefit fraud on such a scale it annoys the fuck out of me but what can you do most have claimed their disabled. But can ride a motorbike go on luxury adventurous holidays it sickens me. In my eyes you have have a food ticket slash/ essential items tickets system where you want can live to a good means and way above what most are in the world don’t get me wrong but the good things in life go and earn them like my parents and family before them. That means no alcohol or cigarettes either. Want them go earn them. It sickens me how soft of handout nation we’ve become. Prime example I have a guest where I work he said I’ve got an advancement on my universal credit, first thing he did came straight to the pub had a meal and several drinks then after went I’m off to work at my workshop 🤷♂️
