Picture from another GUR team who bought soft armor with funds we raised! The doggie is not included, but IS snuggly soft.
Why is soft armor important? It protects against shrapnel from grenades and artillery which is the leading cause of injury and death on the front. It protects areas of the torso not covered by hard plates, increases protection level from Level 3 to 4 without adding weight, and is excellent for areas of the body that bend.
You can make a big difference in helping soldier survivability at a relatively low cost.
We are fundraising to buy multiple sets of side plates ($45 each/$90 for a set) and carriers ($24 each/$48 for a set). A Legion team needs coverage for 10 people and Chosen Company, who we call our “Loveable Bozos” team, needs them for most people. We also have a GUR team requesting 3-4 pieces of neck and groin protection ($235 and $130).
