  1. They’ve had a long relationship together and honestly, I can think of worse places their money goes towards.

  2. If BP wants to waste money on PR as if anyone thinks better of oil companies and it goes to museums than sure lol.

  3. The British Museum ain’t cheap to run so accepting money freely given is a win to us all. if Pablo escobar wanted to make a donation i would take it and set a some mad VR exhibitions

  4. If the museum returns some of the stolen artefacts, they would need less dirty money. Most ethical choice but trustees would go without champagne soirées so doubt it will happen.

  5. In the words of the esteemed Senator Davis from Baltimore, “Sheeeeeeit…I’ll take any motherfucker’s money if he givin’ it away!”

  6. I don’t see why anyone would care. It’s not like they’re using the money to lobby the government.

  7. I think it is great. The British Museum is a world-class institution overall (despite recent scandals) and the money is surely welcome. I see no qualms about the museum accepting money from an energy company.

  8. If evironmental activists have a problem with this feel fred to getyour oil heirees and 6 figure environmental consultants you call your leadership to stump up the money instead.
