As an old Hillingdon resident of 6 years, who lived literally right off the high street I can say that’s bollocks. It’s not got the greatest high street, but it does have everything you need. I genuinely found a bit of a community atmosphere in Hillingdon as well, it was perfectly average IMO
I’m currently in Southall while my house is being done up and it might now be the shitest place in most of London. It’s an absolute hole
I find this hard to believe tbh, i mean there’s Merton and Croydon.
Depends how you look at it, you could say it’s the BEST of the WORST.
Honestly can’t be that bad, I mean have you seen the state of some places especially up north.
At least it has London job prospects (yes London costs of living) but better than a lot of places.

I see nothing’s changed much in the last 50 years then. I once worked with someone from Hillingdon and she said it was the grimmest place in Britain full of narrow-minded people and she couldn’t wait to leave.
It’d weird that it refers to noisy Heathrow when Hillingdon is mostly above Heathrow so doesn’t get much Airplane noise?
However it did have Boris as MP fairly recently which certainly made me unhappy
