This is a phone fight that has been going on for over a year (pre-Jack Smith).
If this stands (including appeals) it’s a pretty big infusion of evidence that could be used against Trump and the 6 unindicted co-conspirators in the DC trial.
But, will he? Lately, Republicans seem to be filled with disdain for anything that is not to their advantage.
At least his asking for a preemptive pardon makes more sense.

Do these judges that are overseeing all of the Jan 6/election overthrow cases have to personally read all of these emails, memos, etc before they rule?
