Everyone who opposes mass housebuilding, or has written in to object to a development near them…
This is the kind of shit you make happen more.
Back in 2005, a homeless lady in my town was stabbed 16 times, ultimately killing her, and then set on fire. Case is still unsolved all these years later. I find it absolutely harrowing that someone did that, and they might just out there right now. Could be having a laugh at a work Christmas party. Might have a wife and children at home. Bleurgh.
The amount of homeless people in this country is a madness. What is happening with this country, our economy should be better than this. Greed and corruption is running through our government.
I see more and more homeless people where I live
Whats the reasoning behind the violence towards homeless people? To this day i still do not understand why there is little compassion towards them
Recently moved from the UK to Canada. Opioid use by the homeless is awful here, it’s completely normal to see people unconscious in public.
These sorts of stories just make me feel worse for them, especially the young women (there are sadly a lot of them).
Last year in Birmingham some cretins on Escooters set fire to a homeless man asleep in an alley.
‘Eve, originally from Dublin, had been working as a carer in Blackpool when she suffered a heart attack and a stroke. Unable to earn, she couldn’t pay her rent and returned to her flat one day to find her landlady had thrown all her belongings onto the street.’
Something so heartbreaking and depressing about that. I’d pay more tax in order to help people in situations like that and I’m on minimum wage. It’s despicable. Maybe I’m too naive and sensitive but this article made me feel fucking awful. What a cold, callous and ultimately vacuous existence we’re making for ourselves in this country.
This is what we should be spending the money on. These are the people who should be housed in hotels. Not the people arriving in small boats from France.
