  11. The lvl of shitfest that is going on is amazing. I have such a blast watching this unfold.
    Yesterday they started ocupation of main building.
    Today new leader supervision council was appointed.
    11:18 they turned off their signal for TV and took down the website
    just after 12 they tried to show news from diffrent part of TVP1
    Now new council members showed up and there were already physical altercation between them and PiS deputies that are ocupating the building.

    It’s really sad that it came to it.

    Yes yes. I am aware PiS was misusing it and it was corrupted.

    What I mean is that it is sad that The National Polish Television broadcaster (the first ever in Poland) has essentially been dissolved.

    This is an equivalent of the BBC for Britain as their national, be it independent, broadcaster. Despite the issues with BBC (which often gets blamed for both right wing and left biases) that were centric and quite fair, whilst having a lot of great programmes that are litteraly building the British national culture (eg. Attenborough programs)

    One could only wish they could re-do TVP as a more independent but culturally tied broadcaster.

    Excellent 1st step for Tusk’s government, strip PiS of their propaganda machine, the poisonous loudspeaker they were using to brainwash the less educated part of the society.
