Hello, I was comparing interest rates on Tagesgeld on check24.
The highest offered is by a bank called Bunq, from Netherlands.
This means I can use it as a normal bank savings account and the money is not fixed for a certain period right?
Also, any other recommendations?

thats from their homepage. you only get these 3.85% for the first 4 months. its 1.56% after. just be aware of that

you can only take money out of that account up to twice a month apparently
you should probably read up on the whole thing: https://de.bunq.com/plans/easy-savings

A Tagesgeldkonto is something more flexible (but less lucrative) than a savings account. There’s no fixed period. As far as I understand, there’s still transaction limits but they are of a technical nature (a bank branch will require notice before they can let you cash out multiple thousands of Euro because they don’t like having so much cash on premises).
A Tagesgeldkonto at the moment is only decent if you want to put some money on the side so you don’t accidentally spend it. But it should be your immediate emergency fund (e.g. three months of wages in my opinion), not your life savings.

Check if bunq as a bank license or if it’s a ‘financial services provider’.
Check24 apparantly isnt listing Trade Republic. There you get 4 % p. a. paid out monthly for up to 50k. [https://traderepublic.com/de-de](https://traderepublic.com/)
With any “Tagesgeldkonto” you can pay it out at any time.
Good video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvmmIz5KkaI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvmmIz5KkaI), bit outdated.
Opening an account with TR was super easy and I can access the money at any time. Longest I had to wait for a transfer between them and my bank was two days over a weekend.
