  2. If they were adults this would be guaranteed whole life orders. That isn’t legally possible, and I don’t think any amount of this sub screaming about it will change that.

    I think they’ll get life with minimums of ~25 years.

    And unless the judge waives it when he they’re sentenced you can never legally know their names, and attempting to find out wil get you jailed.

  3. The most disturbing case I have ever read about. I wonder if when the photos of the two killers are releases it’ll be as shocking as when James Bulger’s murderers became public.

  4. Seriously, lock these pricks up and they shoudln’t see the light of day again. In fact, it would be better for us all if they were just fired into the sun – waste of oxygen.

  5. Calculated and organised murder so starting point for time HAS to be higher than say Dave who shanks someone on a whim.

    Age prevents Whole Life Order, as does lack of multiple victims.

    For me justice would be a 24-30 year minimum term. Possibly higher given gravity of organisation and total lack of remorse.

    The fact neither had any desire to apologise or admit.

  6. Two kids will rot in jail and have the rest of their life impacted horribly, while all the politicians, opinion paper writers, billionare authors, etc who turned our culture so toxic and taught them that trans people are subhuman will be unaffected and get to carry on spewing bile.

    Yes they did it, and they ruined their own lives. I’m not saying they’re innocent. But punishing them won’t fix anything. As we’ve seen in the past few days, our country continues to get worse for trans people. Both major parties hate us. The culture that led them to the stupid and horrifying decision they made will continue unchanged, and nothing will happen to prevent this happening again.

    That’s what actually upsets me. It’s all so pointless.
