  4. That’s very true! The racist far right Irish National Party is trying to operate in nationalist areas here.

    I would say the big difference is basically every Republican or Socialist organisation in nationalist areas are pushing back against them. I don’t who else would be doing that in Loyalist areas.

    That being said, many if not most of the people who live in Loyalist areas are also good and normal people. I just see it as they don’t have a reliable apparatus to be able to challenge the violently intimidating far-right UVF and UDA who at times seem backed or tolerated by the state through collusion.

  6. We’ve come to a point now where these identity politics have so many layers that it’s basically a metaphorical russian doll of opinions and their meanings, and I can’t keep up anymore. Irish lives matter. Irish lives don’t matter. Black lives matter. Refugee lives matter. Children lives matter. Pick your poison I don’t care.

  9. Was walking down falls rd and my mate had a black lives matter top on (this was the summer of George Floyd’s murder) and some fella shouts “what about white lives?” Then someone destroyed Floyd’s mural on the same road
