  1. “Her execution comes as concern grows over the numbers of people this year executed by Iran, where hundreds of people have been hanged, including more than a dozen women.

IHR said Sabzian was a “child bride” who was forced to marry at the age of 15 and had been a victim of domestic violence, according to relatives.

Amnesty International said it was “horrified” by the reports of the “chilling execution”, saying the mother of two was “subjected to a forced and early marriage as a child”.

The office of the UN High Commissioner on Human Rights said it was “alarmed” by the execution, saying Sabzian had been forced to marry her husband while aged 15”

The UN is “alarmed”…not disgusted, shocked, enraged by the fact that a child bride forced into an abusive relationship has been hanged because of “religion”…
Iran has been under a dictatorship founded by fanatics since 1979 and this is disgusting.

  2. of course. A shitty regime like this can’t let women and children get away with killing their abusers or their whole system would fall apart.

  3. Iran is doing just greeaaaatt. Really making some strong strides back into the cave.

  4. I’m so disgusted with the UN – only saying something once they can’t cover stuff up anymore.

This situation should never have been allowed to happen in the first place.

  5. Executing babies for killing their molesters. I was recently told on here that Iran is a very intellectual and enlightened place. Checks out.

  6. This should tell you everything you need to know about iran. The fact that they hung a child rape victim instead of the person who raped her tells you everything you need to know about the bastardization of Justice in this country

  7. Women are worthless in society’s like that.

    Women life freedom, forever!

  8. The title is a bit misleading. They didn’t hang a child, the woman was a child bride at 15, and is currently in her 20s or 30s according to the article.

Still terrible, and Iran should still be condemned for allowing child marriage at all, and for hanging her.

  9. Ah yes, Iran, who was recently made the official chair of the UN Human Rights Council.

In case anyone needed a reminder why the UN is an absolute cesspool.

  10. Well, the Koran in 4:34 allows men to beat for “disobedience” whatever that means.

  11. Please remember that Iran is the head of the U.N.’s Human Rights Council.
