24. My Grandfather served in the German infantry in WW2. He fought in Poland, France, later in Russia. He was a Catholic, but he didn’t take religion too serious. . He told that he saw soldiers start to pray before an attack or when under artillery barrage , because this was the last and only option they thought they had to save their lives. Religion is just stupid imo.
