When I was a wee nipper, sometimes extra buses on a service had “Duplicate” listed as the destination, my Dad convinced me it was village “the other side of Teversal”, and always asked to go there when we went out on Sundays, and was I most disappointed when we ended up in Matlock Bath.
And we never saw them again.

Our lot used to run Specials, and since the routes all had letters at the time, we saw Special K, and also Special X (ladies underwear). We were kids.
