Not a fan of this casting, but Daddario wasn’t a great Annabeth either.
You can tell these trolls were talking out their ass because even the movie actress got shit for her Annabeth.
Forced diversity usually never goes over well, especially with book adaptations, whose fans are generally rabid in the defense of the novels they love, even if it’s misguided at times.
Feel bad for the actress. She didn’t ask to be in the middle of this. And the movie adaptations were trash, too, so it’s not like they’re a shining beacon of what to do with a beloved IP either.
If you want to be yourself, then why be an actor? Lol
Well, two episodes in and she’s definitely not playing Annabeth like Daddario…thank god.
I absolutely respect and commend her for standing up for herself, but isn’t acting about not playing yourself? An actor is supposed to be a character while doing their job on screen. Doesn’t really make sense what she said
