  1. It’s so weird when I come to a story and all the comments are hidden. I guess the appropriate bots haven’t gotten around to commenting yet..?

  2. I mean when the us indictment pointed out that the unnamed indian government employee sent gupta a video of nijjars corpse just hours after the murder it became much harder to use the same propaganda they were pushing b4 they should have stopped pushing canada for proof bc the us seemed to have all that info for months and only released it when india kept pushing canada to release shared intelligence

  3. When you can sense a tonal shift abroad but not right at home

  4. NGL, but this is one of the few topics where I’m proud of how my country (America) handled it. And I am quite and continue to be impressed with Mr Trudeau. His words are eloquent yet fair, and feel genuine and make sense.

  5. The title refers to a news report by MSN, based on information from the U.S. officials and the Chinese state media. The report says that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he has noticed a change in India’s attitude towards Canada after the U.S. revealed an alleged plot by Indian agents to kill a Canadian Sikh activist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, in June 2023. Trudeau said he had a “direct and frank” conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which he shared his concerns and urged India to respect Canada’s sovereignty and security. Trudeau also said that Canada was not looking to provoke or escalate the situation, but to lay out the facts as it understood them. The report says that India has denied any involvement in the plot and called Trudeau’s allegations “absurd” and “baseless”. The report also says that the row has strained the relations between the two countries, leading to diplomatic expulsions, visa suspensions, and social media threats.

  6. I don’t any other country has the clout anymore

  7. ‘tonal shift’ or ‘lip service’

    Modi ain’t changing for nobody.

  8. Little harder to gaslight Canada when the US is openly backing us up!

    Thanks neighbours!

  9. So this is Trudeau basically admitting no one gives a shit about Canada in isolation and any importance they have comes from being an ally of the US.

  10. It’s a lot harder to throw shade at the US intelligence apparatus especially after we were basically the only ones warning the world about the Ukraine conflict’s impending start. The biggest problems that US intelligence faces are interdepartmental sharing of information and the fact that people think it’s *too robust*

  11. When Obama was president the US killed one of there own citizen in Iraq with a drone. This is similar.

  12. You mean just now they noticed and not the overall swing towards authoritarianism that’s been happening for years now?

  13. Maybe stop importing a half million Indian wage slaves every year trudeau……

  14. Thank you America! I notice the Indian trolls have become silent now that the US called them out.

  15. Yeah when he called them on thier shit, everyone dog piled Trudeau and then Trudeau was right – I’d assume they’d be a little sheepish

  16. We should have cut ties with them over their scam call center nonsense. Its out of hand.

  17. Indian Redditors soon: Quick, post more pictures of the skyscrapers in Mumbai to distract Reddit!

  18. What kind of tonal shift might that be? Do they now talk through their mouth instead of their ass?

  19. Picturing Trudeau screaming, “Vindication!” With his hands in the air, idk why, but in the rain too lol

  20. India knows when to stfu when dealing with a superpower
