* Russian troops are dealing with outbreaks of “mouse fever,” Ukrainian intel alleges.
* The disease is being carried by rodents in the trenches, Ukraine said.
* Symptoms include sudden intense headaches, fever, chills, and nausea, according to the CDC.
While I welcome the news of increased disease and attrition among the Vatniks, I also know that mice aren’t selective about which trenches they occupy. I fear these same diseases are also present among Ukrainian troops.
Let’s hope the higher standards of cleanliness, higher levels of medical assistance and better winter provisions ensure these diseases stay at a minimum among the Ukrainians.
leptospirosis?
Probably some form of bubonic plague
In southwestern USA we get to worry about hanta virus, perhaps it’s something like that.
Prevalence of Hantaviruses Harbored by Murid Rodents in Northwestern Ukraine and Discovery of a Novel Puumala Virus Strain
I was wondering if something like this might happen. From the massive amount of mouse videos coming from both sides, it stands to reason that people are going to start catching the nasty diseases they ferry around.
Ukraine is basically raiding every shelter for cats, this virus, mixed with influenzas, mixed with pneumonia mixed with Covid. Can decimate any army faster then artillery. Ukraine is taking it very seriously and hopefully Russia is not
