  1. Something tells me all the other commenters here so far have the blue check mark on Twitter, I mean “X”.

  2. You can’t spend and spend and spend without money in the account to write the checks.

Wait….that’s exactly what our government does…

  3. another caring idea struck down by math. this reminds me of new zealand rolling back the idea of having the first tobacco freee geneation… they must have done some math and thought… we dont want to lose that tobacco tax revenue and it also makes fewer people live long enough receive much or sometimes any retirement money. it”s a win-win. riight? smh.

  4. Everything about this from the top down seems like a parody.

A website run by a dude who writes about macro economics from an Austrian economics perspective. Aka a perspective that’s basically libertarian economics on crack. That’s never been actually used or successful in real life.

A panel in San Francisco of 15 black people who are in charge of telling the city that it’s “only right and fair” that all black people get 5 million, and a guaranteed almost 100k for 250 years? Which I’m sure these 15 are definitely a part of.

I wish I was in charge of determining that “yes, in fact I AM owed $5 million and yearly payments for 250 years…”

  5. Meanwhile, the flavored tobacco ban is costing upwards of half a billion this year in list taxes.
