A pray against “Evil drones” is found in the pocket of a killed Russian soldier. The text says: “O, Saint Barbara, the great martyr and the patron, look upon us, grieving and suffering. Against evil drones, that sow death and destruction.”

  1. That the prayer was included in the book should have been the first really bad sign. Stay in Russia.

  2. Santa Barbara says, walk not in the valley of death, and you will fear no evil drones.

  3. Puts a whole new spin in the drone drop videos of Russians crossing themselves right before a grenade is dropped right on top of them.

  4. Someone should photoshop her to look like a ukrainian saint and make it into unit patches for ukrainian drones units. kinda like the saint javelin patch

  5. He should have prayed for protection from good drones, evil drones don’t harm their own.

  6. **A Psalm of Return from the Skies**

*O dwellers of the boundless heavens,*

*Beware the drones that soar and sear,*

*Their wings of metal, cold and keen,*

*Bring forth a peril, yet unseen.*

*In circuits of silence, they weave their dance,*

    *Eyes unblinking, a watchful trance,*

    *Guardians of the ethereal realm,*

*Yet harboring a menace, like a vengeful helm.*

*The skies, once pure, now echo with hums,*

*Of man-made angels with ominous drums,*

*Their whispers of danger, like a haunting psalm,*

*Echo in the quietude, an unwelcome balm.*

*Seek not solace in the mechanical wings,*

*For they bear witness to worldly sins,*

*A creation of man’s unchecked desire,*

*A spark that can unleash an unholy fire.*

*Turn, oh children of the earthly sphere,*

*Retreat from the peril that hovers near,*

*The salvation lies in roots and soil,*

*Embrace the earth, let not your spirits coil.*

*The heavens may beckon with a siren’s call,*

*But the true sanctuary lies beyond the sprawl,*

*Return to the hearth, the warmth of home,*

*Where love and kinship eternally roam.*

*Let not the metal behemoths lead you astray,*

*For in their shadows, darkness holds sway,*

*The only redemption is in humble abode,*

*Where the heart finds peace in the simplest code.*

*As the sun sets on the horizon’s rim,*

*Let the wings of steel yield to the hymn,*

*A psalm of return, a prayer to the land,*

*For in earthly embrace, salvation will stand.*

  7. This could be directly inserted into the Imperial Infantryman’s Uplifting Primer

  8. St. Barbara is the patron saint of artillerymen and others who use explosives like miners. Not the patron saint of targets in the open and other future ditchmeat. She’s on the drone operators side.

  9. Bad news Orcs. The Lord doesn’t hear your prayers when you are in Ukraine.

  10. “in fight for the true and freedom” what a bs. To kill free people is not a fight for freedom.

  11. Wtf…did they really just put a picture of St. Barbara (actually she looks a bit like Mother Mary to me…) while holding an evil-looking drone with a skull on it? Because for everyone who doesn’t know the russian language, it looks like St. Barbara is actually the one who is going to make a demonic drone fly into the air…and I’m pretty sure because of this, the whole picture and prayer should actually be considered blasphemous by every Christian (by the russians too)…

….not to mention that praying to specific Saints like St. Barbara was something that I thought was only commonly practiced by the catholics, and not orthodoxes (and protestants) too, because I thought they only prayed directly to Jesus Christ and God and not to the Saints or to the souls of the dead in Heaven and Purgatory like the catholics usually do… but apparently I was wrong….

  12. Op translation lost a lot of flavor.

Not evil drones but demonic drones

  13. Russian drones are killing and injuring Ukrainian and foreign volunteer fighters too. Drones on both sides are terrifying to the soldiers subjected to their ever-increasing presence. My prayers go to Ukraine and her defenders, that they will innovate and counter more skillfully and quickly than the Russian terrorists.

  14. Santa Barbara says: “Just go home, Ivan. Then you won’t need to fear the evil drones ;)”

  15. “So our spirit wont go down and we wont fall in desperation in (our) fight for truth and freedom”, lmfao.

  16. are they going to calls “Techpriest” next? for extra exsoscism against drones of course.

  17. Every time when I decide that orcs cannot go dumber I got refuted 🤷🏻

  18. Maybe St. Barbara is actually working on the Ukrainian side. Seems like the picture shows her materializing a drone ready to be dropped onto the Russians below. The Russians can’t claim religious protection when they are the ones invading a foreign country to kill the inhabitants.

  19. Wikipedia says, “Barbara is best known as the patron of armourers, artillerymen, military engineers, miners and others who work with explosives because of her legend’s association with lightning, and also of mathematicians.”

[I was privileged to present before the Royal Navy’s Saint Barbara Association in 2005](http://dreadnoughtproject.org/images/SB_2005/) (tedious [video](https://youtu.be/1eMO76RBUHM)), which is their private professional club for surface weapons folk (formerly, “gunners”). My topic: Royal Navy WW1 gunnery tech. My guest: The Lord Fisher!
