My husband and I have our own bedrooms and it’s been great for our marriage. We shared a bed for years because it’s what you’re supposed to do, but having different sleep schedules, different ideal sleep temperatures, and his snoring made sharing a bed a miserable experience for us both. We are both happier this way and our 20-year relationship couldn’t be stronger.
I know a lot of couples who do this. Did not know it was so unusual or taboooo!
Is she about to become the next Jada Pickett-Smith?
How about we stop trying to normalize everything and just live our fucking lives how we want to live our lives?
I’m all about you do you. I don’t give a shit what folks do as long as it doesn’t impact anyone else I say do it. Want to sleep in separate rooms cause it helps you and your spouse out? Go nuts.
*cries in housing crisis*
I want the same in my next relationship and I also want a separate bathroom. Two non-negotiables!
This would make me an adulterer of the highest order: I’m sleeping with all your wives – they’re just in other rooms.
Works for us. We have no choice. My hubs is a super noisy sleeper, and he is never still. I didn’t realize anyone cared if couples slept separately or not. Is someone really harassing her about it? Seems odd that anyone would care about this.
Been doing it for the last 7 years, relationship never stronger. Different schedules started it, on the same schedule now and no plans to go back. Newve have to worry about bothering/waking up your partner via snoring, being restless and unable to sleep, getting up to go pee, or the biggest one for me; I like to sleep in a n ice cold room with the fan on… She does not
Agreed.
Love isn’t falling asleep next to someone.
We in our 40s and have separate bedrooms. My bedroom is the main bedroom though
