  1. I’m in the East Midlands, I can confirm it’s very windy

  2. I mean

It’s blowing dogs off chains out there

Santa is magical and so forth but he will have some headwinds and bumpy landings

  3. People will still ignore advice, get stranded/injured/killed, then play victim.

It’s not worth it, just sit it out for a while.

  4. Getting the ferry from Rotterdam to Hull tonight, looking forward to a smooth and gentle crossing.

  5. Looking forward to getting my train from London to Glasgow later, I’m sure it’ll be fine…

  6. The ECML is fucked. 80mph speed restriction to electric traction between Newark Northgate and Marshall Meadows (Berwick upon Tweed). If you’re travelling today expect delays.

I wouldn’t be shocked if the overheads came down.

  7. Thanks to this wind, I have had multiple free days of electricity thanks to Octopus and living in an area that has a metric ton of wind turbines.

The engineer in me wants to make a pumped storage, but probably just easier buying a battery

  8. I’m away and thus morning I was able to play back the video of my bins walking themselves across the driveway (nowhere near the road or any danger of that) . Luckily I’ve got nice neighbours and someone’s home soon.

  9. Looks like Santa has come early a dropped me off a trampoline
