Wonder what the number is in russia? Millions have fled already, and putin seems to go more mad each day, and he sacrifices thousands for a meter of gain.
I can’t blame them: if I wouldn’t be in the army already I would try to escape too.
Believe it or not, most people are afraid of dying. Which to a nation not in a war is ok. Death visits every living thing no matter what it is. What is happening with service age males fleeing the country at war is not new. Fear is a powerful emotion. The brave are the few. If they ever return to a peaceful Ukraine and get asked, “What did you do during the war?” They have to lie or hang their head in shame. No winners from the leavers
This is hard to read. Gives me confusion. Does Ukrainians want freedom. I’m assuming those fleeing are scared to die. I would be to…is there a way to stop the ones leaving? That bodies that could be in some manufacturing job helping their people. Times are different and UKraine has shown to be thee toughest bravest fighters. I hope all goes well.
Part of this is also the fault of too little aid from the West. As always it circles back to that. People wouldn’t flee illegally, or as many, had Ukraine the proper means of defending itself and had considerably fewer losses as result. This is part of the reason why russia is still able to get so many to join – they’re able to spread out the losses and returning coffins to a much larger area of the country, and the mental effect is less. And yeah, again, their propaganda that “everything is fine comrade” as on an entirely different level.
It’s easy for me to say, but I think those people of fighting age who are choosing to leave Ukraine now in it’s hour of need will regret it later. When victory eventually comes they will be ashamed that they didn’t do their part.

What’s needed is more manpower, if only another non NATO member joined to defend Eurasia
Better to live in shame then to die in honour. I would try to flee aswell, i want to see my 6yr old grow up, not that he has to mourn about me.
Not saying it isnt true but that number seems exceedingly high. I mean if there are really 6.000 men leaving per day, that means in half a year 1 Million leaving. Thats more than there are in the whole Ukrainian army and security forces combined. If you take that rate for the whole ca. 2 years of war that would mean, 4 million men have left. That would ba about two thirds of all refugees (6 million have left so far). That’s just outright bs.
So maybe their just talking about peak numbers or counted over a shorter period of time. In that case it’s just bad statistics. If you just count the peak times you can make any statistic look extraordinary.
This doesn’t compute and I see this as propaganda. Looking at border patrol daily reports – they stop dozens of people like that from crossing daily. Considering the offensive language board service uses in daily posts I’d say absolute minority here uses fraudulent documents. Border service treats people with legal documents as «ухилянти» as well, without any basis whatsoever.

6000 every day? That would be millions at this point. I highly doubt these numbers.
