My place of work have a policy in place that states no writing on your clothing. (Logos/branding is fine)
It’s not strictly enforced if at all, but I would imagines it’s there because someone came in wearing something stupid in the past.
It wouldn’t surprise me if someone came into work with something like “FUCK HER IN THE PUSSY” on their t-shirt/jumper.
Used to work in one, not shocked to see this kind of thing. The management was always so reactionary. Not a pleasant place to work, but it paid well to get me through college.
“We support an inclusive workplace where everyone should feel welcome at work.”
“It also alleged that she was told it would be acceptable to wear clothing featuring the Spanish language, but not Irish.”
Anti-Irish cunts.
She should sue the hole off them.
Primark forgets where it came from
Employee should have asked “you alright Hun?”
Is this coming from head office, a local issue, or a bit of both?
Not the first time something with an Irish theme has been a problem in the North for Primark
I’m confused. It’s not controversial to say the people of this island used to speak Irish.
I’m ok with the fact we speak English now. No Biggie. Everyone I know speaks it. Tis grand.
But even if you are a sensitive ol’ ‘nationalist,’ ..(firstly, nationalism is a work of human created fiction just like other cults and religions. Grow up) ..you can’t deny that it simply was the language of the eisland for years. Simply history.
With the added bonus of very little mistreatment to the nation by ‘irish speakers,’ at the time.
Accidents happen. There are so many rules and regulations now, nobody knows which way to turn!
Irish language and identity will always been seen as threat to a certain group up North.
“If my mother tongue is shaking the foundations of your state, it probably means that you built your state on my land.”
(Yes I know an Xmas jumper is hardly shaking the foundations of the state lol)
