A leading GP has claimed the poor state of the health service is forcing him to establish the first hybrid clinic in Northern Ireland combining NHS and private services under one roof

  1. What is making this even worse is that because our services aren’t getting funded correctly and no one is making decisions, many workers are thinking fuck this shit and working in the UK or Ireland. What is the point in working in a shit system for less pay?

Services then can’t recruit for roles, so the limited pool of applicants then go locum to rack up £££ for less hours.

  2. Greedy GP sees opportunity to exploit poorly funded health service for personal monetary gain.

  3. all be design. underfund and force parts to be privatised. kill off the public side altogether. jack up the prices to the point no one can afford it. make insurance essential. reap huge profits as the poor folk die of easily addressed issues. the american dream.

  4. Tom Black is a good guy. His GP surgery is the one I attend. The pressures are real and it’s not the GPs fault. Yes, they could maybe work more convenient hours but GPs are retiring because of the workload and pressure. There’s only so much the small number of GPs can do.

  5. All the private clinics are being set up now with monthly memberships from about 30 quid etc. It’s the way it’s going

  6. You only have to see the waiting time now for private consultants even when you have private healthcare. It’s mad. 2-6 month wait. I dread to think what it must be like via the health trusts and NHS.
