Can we get a LC megathread up and running before all the inevitable posts from pissed off 17 year olds flood the sub?
And?
Must….go…back…to….stone…age.
They’re so afraid to look at actual remodeling this archaic curriculum. This is an opportune time for change and progression into a more modern way of teaching our youth… .but no…. we’ll go back to the before time in the long long ago
Who gives a fuck what the teachers union say?
Haven’t current leaving cert students missed the same amount of time in school that students last year did who got theirs cancelled? Or am I wrong? I think this should be the last year the exam is cancelled (the entire thing needs to be reformed though), sounds kind of unfair

In before students conveniently become petrified of covid for 2 weeks in June.
Narrator: It won’t
The teachers’ unions at it again. They’re like the Brits, they’re always at it in recent years.
This is literally slavery.
Surely this year’s students have been affected more than last year’s? They have 2 years of interrupted study in 5th and 6th year, the two important exam years. Surely they should be treated the same. Either way, the stress of not knowing is definitely getting to lots of students.
Anyone in favour of the current predicted grades/traditional exam choice doesn’t seem to understand that it’s prolonging the time before a massive shitstorm occurs when they have to go back to standardising grades and disadvantage thousands of students across the country.
